Emirates introduces mobile boarding passes by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Emirates has introduced a mobile boarding pass option in a bid to make its passengers" journeys "even more efficient".

Travellers can receive a boarding pass on an internet-enabled mobile device when checking in online for flights out of Dubai.

An internet link will be sent to the customer"s phone by email or text message, providing a barcoded pass that can be scanned at all check-in counters, security checkpoints, first and business class lounges and boarding gates.

The service is expected to save at least 550kg of paper in its first year of operation.

Mohammed Mattar, Emirates" divisional vice president of airport services, said the new offering meets the demands of modern travellers.

"The mobile boarding pass puts flexibility and control completely in the hands of our customers, while making a small step towards reducing our environmental impact," he added.
