Queenstown to welcome All Black legends for special rugby match by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Rugby fans visiting Queenstown later this year will have the chance to see a special match featuring some legendary former All Blacks.
The resort town on New Zealand"s South Island will celebrate the country"s rugby heritage with a game between the Classic All Blacks and the French Classics at the Recreation Ground on 18 September.
A host of stars will be representing New Zealand at the event, including Christian Cullen, who is regarded as one of the country"s best ever fullbacks.
Fans will also be able to see Andrew Mehrtens - the fly-half whose status as the All Blacks" all-time leading points scorer was only recently usurped by current star Dan Carter - and other big names including Tony Brown, Charlie Hore and Rueben Thorne.
The feature match will be part of the REAL New Zealand festival.
Commenting on the event, Graham Budd, general manager of marketing for Destination Queenstown, said: "It"s the perfect opportunity to come to Queenstown - where we"ve got accommodation available to suit all tastes and budgets - and stay on to enjoy all the activities for which we"re renowned worldwide."
New Zealand will provide the setting for the Rugby World Cup this year, with matches set to take place in Auckland, Napier, Dunedin and other cities between 9 September and 23 October.
