SAS launches Scandinavian Smart Pass by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British travellers exploring Scandinavia later this year can enjoy a smoother and more time-efficient airport experience, as major airline SAS has launched a new Smart Pass.

The pass uses near field communication (NFC), the same technology that Londoners will be familiar with from their Oyster cards for using the public transport network.

Passengers will be able to use this card on self service machines, at security, fast track, lounges, tax free shopping and by the gate.

Lena Rokaas, vice-president for product and customer service at SAS, said: "We can see that NFC is the future. We are therefore proud to be one of the first airlines in the world to offer such a smart solution."

Following a successful trail period, the SAS Smart Passes will be made available to all EuroBonus Gold members from September onwards.

SAS operates direct flights from the UK to several destinations across Scandinavia, including Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo.
