Tunisia To Receive Help For Tourism Recovery
Tunisia to receive help for tourism recovery by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has announced that it will provide support to Tunisia as the country seeks to attract more international travellers and offer a positive experience for all visitors.
Marketing efforts, training for local workers and policy guidance are among the areas where the organisation will cooperate with the north African country"s government.
Since the political demonstrations and regime change that occurred earlier this year, tourists are beginning to return to Tunisia, noted Taleb Rifai, the UNWTO"s secretary-general.
Local tourism minister Mehdi Houas said: "Tourism in Tunisia is fully operational and open for business and we need the support of the international community to communicate this reality.
"This agreement is an important step towards the reinforcement of tourism in Tunisia in key areas such as marketing, quality and human resource development."
Travellers who decide to visit the nation this year can see the remains of the ancient city of Carthage or arrange accommodation in beach resorts such as Monastir or Sousse.
