Tunisia Tourism Campaign Designed To Provoke A Reaction

Tunisia tourism campaign "designed to provoke a reaction" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

UK consumers could soon see advertisements promoting Tunisia, which are part of a campaign that has been designed to provoke a reaction, the national tourist board has revealed.

The promotional drive is the first launched by the Tunisian National Tourist Office (TNTO) since the revolution that took place in the country earlier this year.

Already underway is the first part of the campaign, which is running on bus panels across the UK and has been designed to surprise consumers and challenge preconceptions about the nation and its people.

A second wave, with a softer approach, will begin on 27 June, showcasing white sandy beaches, golf courses, thalassotherapy centres and other attractions on offer in Tunisia.

Anissa Ramoundi, UK and Ireland director of the TNTO, said the initiative has been developed to show travellers that the African country is "very much open for business".

She added: "It is designed to provoke a reaction and has been created by Tunisians in Tunisia.

"For the majority of Tunisians, the revolution has been very positive, [giving] people the chance to speak freely for the first time; just a few months ago a campaign like this would not have been possible."
