Wildlife Enthusiasts Fuel Record Arrivals To Kenya
Wildlife enthusiasts fuel record arrivals to Kenya by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The first three months of 2011 have seen a record amount of tourists flocking to Kenya, which the national tourist board puts down to the great wildlife spotting opportunities.
According to figures acquired from the Kenya Tourist Board last week (10 June), the first quarter of this year saw more inbound visitors than ever before, after a 40% year-on-year increase.
Furthermore, UK visitors from January to the end of March were up by 10% when compared with the same period in 2010, reflecting a rise in demand for flights to Kenya.
Angie Sloan, UK director at the national tourist board, said that the variety of national parks on offer means that visitors can visit two or three of them and they will still get a "completely different experience".
"The sheer abundance of wildlife ensures visitors will always have an amazing safari experience. Taking in a bush breakfast, dinner or a balloon ride over rolling savannah shouldn"t be missed," she said.
