Another useful tip for holidaymakers is to keep one of the shoes they are planning to wear home in a safe place with their passport, ensuring that they won"t forget the latter.

Becky Wadsworth, a BA cabin crew member, said: "As cabin crew we can take up to 450 flights a year so we"re always looking for tips to make travel easier. Most of them [are] really simple but they can make a big difference to your holiday."
