Flybe Committed To Cornwall Travellers
Flybe "committed to Cornwall travellers" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
In a move which "reinforces its commitment to Cornwall travellers", Flybe has announced plans to guarantee the continuation of an air link between Newquay and Manchester.
The regional airline will operate four weekly flights between the destinations from 30 October 2011.
Passengers will therefore have a choice of up to 44 services per week on Flybe"s routes linking Newquay to London Gatwick and Manchester during the winter season.
Chief commercial officer Mike Rutter described the carrier as "the UK"s number one domestic airline" and claimed that it understands "how important it is to keep Britain on the move".
"We especially recognise how vital it is for Cornwall to continue to have regular air access to key destinations," he added.
"We have every expectation that this new year-round route will become as popular as our London Gatwick service and that we will be able to increase frequency for summer 2012."
Al Titterington, managing director of Newquay airport, described the provision of year-round services to Manchester as "vital".
