SilkAir to launch flights to Koh Samui by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Tourists booking flights to Thailand via Singapore will soon have even more choice, as SilkAir is launching services to Koh Samui from September.

The regional wing of Singapore Airlines will operate flights three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

SilkAir already services the Thai resorts of Phuket and Chiang Mai.

Bangkok Airways will be the codeshare partner on the new flights, while Silkair will also codeshare on the carrier"s daily evening services.

Passengers will fly onboard an Airbus 319 aircraft, which will feature both business and economy class cabins.

Marvin Tan, chief executive of SilkAir, said Koh Samui is renowned for its beautiful beaches and coral reefs.

"Koh Samui is popular with travellers seeking the ultimate tropical beach experience and SilkAir is well placed to meet this demand," he remarked.

"Additionally, our codeshare arrangement with Bangkok Airways will enhance the connectivity between Singapore and Koh Samui and offer our customers more convenient connections and flexibility when planning their holidays."
