Air Berlin to carry ski equipment free of charge by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers whose thoughts are already moving from summer to the 2011-12 winter season have been informed that they can transport ski equipment free of charge with Air Berlin.
The airline announced that its offer covers ski boots, poles, skis and snowboards up to a weight of 30kg and does not affect the regular free baggage allowance of 20kg per passenger.
Passengers will be able to carry winter sports gear for free on flights to and from Munich, Zurich, Basel, Milan, Verona, Venice and destinations in Austria.
All non-direct services to these locations from the UK and other countries including France, Italy, Spain and Russia will also qualify for the offer, which applies to all flights between 1 November this year and 30 April 2012.
Passengers planning to transport ski equipment must pre-book by contacting Air Berlin"s service centre at least 48 hours prior to departure.
The airline recently released figures showing that it carried more passengers and made more efficient use of its aircraft capacity in July.
