Brazilian World Cup "will provide tourism benefits" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Embratur, Brazil"s national tourist board, has highlighted some of the benefits that the 2014 Fifa World Cup is expected to provide for travellers visiting the country.
Flavio Dino, president of the organisation, said that the government"s preparations for the event are progressing well.
Improvements are being made to the South American country"s infrastructure, providing facilities and capacity for more international flights and easier travel within the nation.
"Currently the government is in its third stage of planning for the World Cup, which includes investments in aviation, port and airport development and public transport within the 12 host cities," said Mr Dino.
"The £13.2bn of investment for the Word Cup will be good for Brazil and good for tourists coming to our country for the first time."
He also highlighted initiatives including new hotel openings and a training programme for more than 300,000 frontline workers, which will help the country cater for the 7.2m people expected to visit in 2014.
Football fans will be travelling to see matches in major cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Salvador and Curitiba.
