Foreign Office Asks For Travel Tips

Foreign Office asks for travel tips by Cheap Flights Booker UK

As UK consumers prepare to head overseas for the August bank holiday weekend, the Foreign Office has launched an appeal for Britons to provide tips and recommendations for fellow travellers.

Members of the public can offer advice on a range of subjects, from things they always forget when they go abroad to unusual laws or customs they have encountered in particular countries.

Ideas can be contributed using the Audioboo platform or by tweeting with the hashtag #mytraveltip.

The best suggestions will be shared through the Foreign Office"s official Twitter feed @fcotravel.

Announcing the initiative, the government agency said: "It"s always good to get advice from someone in the know if you want to enjoy yourself, stay safe and make sure that you make the most of your break.

"That"s why we"re asking you to record your top travel tip."

The Foreign Office got the ball rolling with some pointers of its own, highlighting the importance of remembering where the car is parked at the airport and the risk of mixing alcohol and swimming pools.

Travellers were also warned against putting passports and any other important documents in plane seat pockets during flights.
