Gatwick Committed To Making Family Holidays Easier
Gatwick "committed to making family holidays easier" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Gatwick airport has underlined its commitment to making air travel as easy and stress-free as possible for families, following a survey which highlighted the difficulties many parents encounter when heading abroad.
Nearly a third (30%) of parents think that disturbing other people is one of the most stressful parts of a trip overseas, according to the research, while 54% feel guilty when their child cries or misbehaves.
Struggling with baggage, meal times and the journey home from the airport are also sources of stress.
A fifth (19%) of the mums and dads surveyed said they try to steer clear of busy parts of the airport to avoid bothering other passengers.
Stewart Wingate, chief executive of London Gatwick, noted that most parents would appreciate more help and consideration while travelling and claimed that the airport is committed to providing a "hassle-free experience for all".
"Already at Gatwick we have launched security assistance lanes for parents with children so that they can go through security at their own pace and get a little extra help from our staff," he added.
"We have also introduced free "kids" zones" in both our terminals to enable young children to release some of that pre-holiday excitement before the flight and we offer a porter service to assist with baggage."
