Hotel revamps continue in Palm Springs by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The hotel renovation trend is continuing in Palm Springs, with a $2.1m (£1.3m) revamp of the property at the Spa Resort Casino due to be finished by October.

All of the establishment"s 228 guestrooms are being refurbished, along with corridors and the lobby.

Some $800,000 has also been invested in the improvement of the Courtyard by Marriott, which now boasts a 52-inch LCD touch screen to help guests find their way around the city, free wireless internet access and other amenities.

Over the past three years, more than $180m has been spent on the renovation of hotels and the construction of new properties in Palm Springs.

James Canfield, executive director of the local promotional agency, said: "Palm Springs continues to reinvent itself.

"Our hotels recognise the need to remain competitive and to improve the guest experiences by offering the latest products and services."

Travellers visiting Palm Springs during a tour of California can go for a ride on the Aerial Tramway to take in views of the city or visit local attractions such as the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum.
