Disney parks to feature Avatar attractions by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Film fans could be tempted to pay a visit to a Disney theme park in future to check out some new attractions inspired by the sci-fi blockbuster Avatar.

Walt Disney has teamed up with director James Cameron to create new lands that will invite guests to embark on their own journey through the hit movie"s world.

The first Avatar-themed area will be built at Walt Disney World in Orlando and construction is set to begin in 2013.

Cameron said: "Avatar created a world which audiences can discover again and again and now, through this incredible partnership with Disney, we"ll be able to bring Pandora to life like never before.

"With two new Avatar films currently in development, we"ll have even more locations, characters and stories to explore."

The filmmaker also revealed that the project aims to "go beyond current boundaries of technical innovation and experiential storytelling".

Walt Disney World in Florida is currently home to attractions inspired by an array of movies, characters and franchises, ranging from Toy Story to Indiana Jones.
