Holiday Inn resort opens in Acapulco by Cheap Flights Booker UK

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and the Playa Poniente Group have announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Resort Acapulco, providing a new accommodation option in one of Mexico"s most popular holiday destinations.

The property, which represents an investment of more than $3m (£1.9m), boasts a coastal location on Miguel Aleman Avenue that affords views of the Pacific Ocean.

Guests are accommodated in 224 rooms and have access to amenities including free wireless internet, widescreen televisions, coffee makers, a gym and an outdoor pool.

Visitors can also sample the cuisine on offer at the resort"s two restaurants or check out the Santa Lucia Cafe and pool bar.

Nearby attractions include the CiCi water park, La Isla shopping centre, the Fort of San Diego and beaches along the Pacific coast.
