Virgin Atlantic Commits To Caribbean With More Flights
Virgin Atlantic commits to Caribbean with more flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Virgin Atlantic has confirmed its commitment to the Caribbean by announcing additional flights to the region.
The airline decided to increase its range of services to popular holiday islands despite the fact that recent increases in air passenger duty have made it more expensive to fly to the Caribbean.
Holidaymakers will be offered additional connections to Barbados, Cuba, Tobago and Grenada, as well as a greater proportion of premium economy seats on Virgin Atlantic"s routes to this part of the world.
The extra flights will operate from London Gatwick and Manchester airports.
Speaking at a Caribbean Tourism Organisation conference in St Martin, Edmund Rose, the airline"s director of commercial and revenue planning, said the region is "tremendously important to Virgin Atlantic".
He added: "We are proud of the business and revenue that is brought to the Caribbean through our presence and we are committed to extending that."
The carrier"s network of long-haul routes also includes services to New York, Cape Town, Singapore, Sydney and other cities.
