Air New Zealand To Launch More All Black Aircraft
Air New Zealand to launch more all-black aircraft by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Air New Zealand has announced that it will be painting more of its aircraft all black to mark the continuation of a sponsorship agreement with New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU).
The deal has been extended by four years to 2015, by which time the airline will have been an official sponsor of NZRU and the country"s beloved All Blacks for 20 years.
To celebrate the partnership, Air New Zealand will be painting a new Airbus A320 plane due for delivery at the end of the month in its "crazy about rugby" black livery.
Also set to sport the distinctive design is the carrier"s fifth and final Boeing 777-300 long-range aircraft, which is scheduled for delivery in January 2012.
Welcoming the extended sponsorship agreement, NZRU chief executive Steve Tew said: "New Zealand Rugby, the All Blacks and our national carrier share a distinctly Kiwi identity and pride, as well as sharing a drive for excellence and determination to be the best."
New Zealand were yesterday (23 October) crowned rugby union world champions after beating France by one point in a tense World Cup final in Auckland.
