Australia: Where to Go app launched by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers planning holidays in Australia can now download a new app described as "the definitive guide" to the best places and experiences on offer across the country.

Australia: Where to Go was created by travel writer Sue Gough Henly, who condensed the extensive range of attractions available to visitors into 175 locations represented by some 2,500 photos.

In a statement announcing the application, publisher Sustro Media said the offering is "full of curated content" and described it as "opinionated and discerning", with "as much detail as a guidebook but in a more compact, interactive, user-friendly format".

Users will be able to access photo slideshows and video clips for each destination; Google maps and directions for all locations; and direct links to useful online resources such as Wikipedia and the websites of state tourism agencies and parks departments.

Each entry is defined using criteria and interests such as wildlife, family activities, luxury and "on the water".

The app is available to download now for both the iPhone and iPad.
