BA Adds New Tier To Frequent Flier Scheme
BA adds new tier to frequent flier scheme by Cheap Flights Booker UK
British Airways (BA) has announced the addition of a new tier to its Executive Club frequent flier scheme as part of a revamp of the programme.
The bronze tier has been introduced to bridge the gap between the blue and silver levels of membership.
Bronze card holders will receive a number of benefits, including business class check-in, seat selection seven days before departure and special luggage tags.
The BA Executive Club now has more than 7m members worldwide and is being relaunched as part of a £5bn investment in the airline"s planes, lounges and consumer technologies.
Frank van der Post, the company"s managing director for brands and customer experience, said: "The investment in the Executive Club will result in a greater range of rewards and increased recognition for members."
Travellers can join the programme for free and earn Avios - BA"s new currency for frequent fliers - according to how often they fly, how far and on what type of ticket.
Members begin with blue cards and will achieve bronze status once they accrue 300 tier points or 25 single flights.
