Delta Expands Economy Comfort Service
Delta expands Economy Comfort service by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Delta Airlines has announced that it is expanding its Economy Comfort brand to its entire mainline fleet of more than 550 aircraft and 250 two-class regional jets.
The premium economy cabin product was launched on long-haul international flights earlier this year.
It provides a number of benefits for customers, including seats with a pitch of at least 34 inches - compared to 31 inches in economy - and priority boarding.
Economy Comfort seats will be installed in the first three to five rows of the economy cabin across Delta"s fleet.
Chief executive officer Richard Anderson said the airline"s goal is to ensure that "premium customers are sitting in premium seats".
He added: "Delta already offers more first class seats than any other US airline and by expanding Economy Comfort we"ll offer customers even more opportunities to select a premium seat."
The carrier is introducing a number of changes as part of a $2bn (£1.25bn) investment in its products and services, including the addition of personal, in-seat entertainment for economy and business class passengers on all long-haul international flights.
