Monarch"s launches Gatwick to Barcelona flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers based in south-east England now have greater access to the European city break hotspot of Barcelona following the launch of a new Monarch Airlines route.

The carrier introduced a service linking London Gatwick to the Spanish destination on Friday (21 October), bringing its total number of scheduled locations served from the airport to 13.

Daily flights to Barcelona are currently available on the route, with frequency set to increase to 11 connections per week from 30 October.

Monarch"s managing director, Kevin George, noted that the city is one of the most popular short break destinations for UK travellers and is already served by the airline from Manchester airport.

He added: "Barcelona attracts a broad mix of visitors for business, city breaks and leisure and we have been delighted by our customers" reaction to the new service and the demand for the route."

London Gatwick"s network also includes flights to Alicante, Seville, Madrid and other cities in Spain with carriers such as easyJet and Air Europa.
