Students Get Muddy To Promote Bay Of Fundy
Students get muddy to promote Bay of Fundy by Cheap Flights Booker UK
A group of students from Acadia University won a recent competition to promote the Bay of Fundy in Canada by plastering themselves in the area"s trademark red mud and forming a giant number seven.
The stunt was arranged as part of a contest to encourage people to vote for the location in the New 7 Wonders of Nature campaign.
Nova Scotia"s Bay of Fundy is the only Canadian finalist in the survey and is competing with sites such as the Grand Canyon, Table Mountain and the Great Barrier Reef for a place in the final seven.
The voting stage will run until 11 November 2011, meaning travellers do not have much time left to choose their favourites.
Stretching for 170 miles along the Atlantic coast of Canada between the provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, the Bay of Fundy encompasses four Unesco-designated sites and is famous for its high tides.
Popular activities in the area include whale watching, hiking the Fundy trail, rafting and kayaking.
