Adelaide visitors urged to check out festivals by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers planning to pay a visit to Adelaide during a tour of South Australia next year have been encouraged to check out some of the high-profile events returning to the city.
One of the highlights to look out for is the Adelaide Fringe, the largest arts festival in Australia, which will be celebrating its 52nd year between 24 February and 18 March 2012.
Approximately 3,500 artists performed almost 5,000 shows at 325 venues last year, leading to record ticket sales of 334,000.
The South Australia Tourism Commission also highlighted the Adelaide Festival, which encompasses everything from opera, theatre and literature to cabaret, outdoor entertainment and visual arts.
In 2012, the programme will run from 2 to 18 March and feature highlights such as Tony award-winning actor Jonathan Pryce appearing in Harold Pinter"s The Caretaker and acclaimed film composer Ennio Morricone playing a concert at Elder Park.
Fans of music, arts and dance can also check out WOMADelaide, one of the country"s most popular outdoor music festivals, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary from 9 to 12 March next year.
