Brits name BA their favourite airline by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British Airways (BA) is currently UK travellers" favourite airline, according to a recent survey by financial comparison website Gocompare.com.

Of the 3,000 people polled, 19.1% named BA their carrier of choice, ahead of Virgin Atlantic on 13.8%.

EasyJet and Emirates also made it into the top five with 4.9% and 3.7% of the vote respectively, while Singapore Airlines (2.7%), Monarch Airlines (2.5%), American Airlines and Qantas (both 1.6%) all featured in the top ten.

At the other end of the scale, Ryanair was named the worst carrier by respondents, with nearly a fifth (19.3%) giving the budget operator the thumbs-down.

Travellers were asked to take a number of factors into account when making their assessments, including cost, service and the overall comfort of their journey.

Commenting on the results, Jeremy Cryer, Gocompare.com"s head of travel, said it was clear that some carriers "will get your holiday off to a better start than others".

He added: "It"s interesting that even with the bucket shop pricing of the budget airlines, plenty of passengers still don"t consider their service good value for money."
