EasyJet marks anniversary of Luton to Tel Aviv route by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet is this month celebrating the second anniversary of its service linking London Luton airport to Tel Aviv, the second most populous city in Israel after Jerusalem.

The route was launched in November 2009 and has proven popular among travellers, with more than 215,000 passengers carried in the last two years.

Frequency was initially four flights per week but was increased to daily connections earlier this year to meet demand.

EasyJet stated that the success of the service is a result of its flying schedule and low fares, which the airline claimed are cheaper than those offered by other carriers on the route.

UK commercial manager Hugh Aitken said: "EasyJet has clearly hit the mark with both leisure and business travellers by making travel easy and affordable as well as providing great opportunities to both British and Israeli travellers."

He went on to say that the Luton to Tel Aviv route has "undoubtedly" provided a significant boost for the Israeli tourism industry.
