EasyJet to operate Reykjavik flights from Luton by Cheap Flights Booker UK
EasyJet will provide an extra travel option for Britons planning to visit Iceland next year, with a new route to the country"s capital city from Luton airport.
The carrier will operate three weekly flights to Reykjavik on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, with the inaugural service scheduled for 27 March 2012.
After flying in to Keflavik airport, the main gateway to Iceland, travellers will be able to discover some of the many experiences that the country has to offer, from a lively nightlife scene and health spa breaks to nature tours visiting geysers, glaciers and lagoons.
The nation also offers 22 hours of daylight every day during the summer.
Paul Simmons, easyJet"s UK director, said it was "hugely exciting" for the airline to be able to offer flights to Iceland for the first time.
He added: "Our new route will not only be attractive for business travellers, but also for those looking for culture-rich city breaks or adventurous travellers looking for unrivalled scenery and activities."
The addition of Iceland means the low-cost carrier now flies to a total of 30 countries.
