Economy Plus Service Launched On Continental Planes
Economy Plus service launched on Continental planes by Cheap Flights Booker UK
United Continental Holdings has announced that the first Continental Airlines aircraft featuring the Economy Plus product is now in service.
The new offering, which was first introduced by United Airlines in 1999, means that passengers will receive an extra four inches of legroom in the forward rows of the economy cabin.
Boeing 767-400 planes carrying the product also provide touchscreen seat-back monitors in economy and new flat-bed seats in the BusinessFirst cabin.
Customers in both cabins will have an extended range of audio and video on-demand and access to in-seat power outlets.
Jim Compton, executive vice president of United Continental Holdings, said the development is the latest step in the company"s plan to build an airline with high-quality products and services that travellers are willing to pay for.
"United"s customers who sit in Economy Plus consistently tell us they are more satisfied with their travel experiences and we are excited to expand this option to more customers," he added.
More Continental planes will be retrofitted with the seat in 2012.
