Europa-Park welcomes record number of visitors by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Europa-Park in Germany has welcomed more than 4m visitors during the summer season for the first time this year.

September and October 2011 were among the most successful months in the history of the theme park, which opened 36 years ago.

The four themed hotels on-site have been proving popular among visitors, with occupancy rates exceeding 95% this year.

A new four-star property offering 1,000 additional beds is currently under construction and due to open in July 2012.

Commenting on the park"s visitor numbers, managing partner Roland Mack noted that an increasing number of guests are visiting the destination several times per season.

"More than 85% of our visitors are repeaters. This is the best acknowledgment for our concept," he added.

People planning to visit Europa-Park next year will be able to check out its newest attraction - a wooden rollercoaster in the Icelandic-themed area that is due to open at the end of March 2012.
