The country"s tourism authorities are expecting growth in visitor numbers in the coming years as a result of more investment and expansion by airlines, resorts, cruise operators and other organisations.

Mexico was identified as one of five key growth areas in the World Travel Market 2011 Industry Report, along with Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Argentina.
