New York set to offer nearly 90,000 hotel rooms by year end by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Hotels in New York City are expected to offer nearly 90,000 rooms by the end of 2011, according to local promotional agency NYC & Company.
The range of accommodation available in the destination has increased by 24% since 2008, with a host of brands being introduced this year.
Aloft New York Brooklyn, Yotel New York Times Square and The Nolitan are among the hotels that have opened in the Big Apple in 2011, along with properties from well-known chains such as Sheraton and Hyatt.
George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said: "New York City is continuously evolving with new hotels, restaurants, attractions and cultural offerings - there is always something new to see and do."
The destination"s cultural landscape will also boast some new features soon, such as the New American Wing Galleries for Paintings, Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Mathematics on Madison Square Park, both of which are due to open next year.
