Over Half Of Brits Considering A Christmas Abroad
Over half of Brits considering a Christmas abroad by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Over half of British adults are considering taking an overseas break as a way of escaping from the chaos and stress associated with Christmas at home, according to research.
The Conrad Koh Samui resort in Thailand commissioned an Opinion Matters survey of more than 1,000 people, which found that a fifth of people are still paying for their festive celebrations and extravagances in March the following year.
More than 80% of respondents said it takes a month to get over the stress of the period, while one in ten are still trying to lose the weight they put on four months later.
A third of people who had spent Christmas abroad in the past said they felt more relaxed as a result, while 30% revealed they spent less on food and drink.
Consumers between the ages of 25 and 34 years are the most likely to take a holiday during the festive season, with 59% of respondents in this age group saying they are considering the option this year.
