Qantas boosting frequency of A380 flights to Melbourne by Cheap Flights Booker UK
UK travellers interested in visiting the city of Melbourne in south-east Australia will soon have more opportunities to fly to the destination on the Airbus A380, the world"s largest passenger aircraft.
Qantas has announced that it will increase the frequency of its service from London Heathrow to Melbourne from six weekly flights to a daily connection after receiving its 11th and 12th A380s later this year.
The fleet expansion will also allow the airline to introduce daily flights to Los Angeles from Melbourne and deploy the aircraft on its route from Sydney to Hong Kong.
Chief executive Alan Joyce confirmed that four weekly links to the Asian city will be available from 15 January 2012.
He added: "Our A380 fleet has continued to generate extremely positive feedback from our customers since its introduction and we are pleased to now add another destination to our A380 network."
Other carriers currently using the Airbus plane include Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Air France and Lufthansa.
