Arguably the most famous annual event held in the country is the Exit festival, which will be returning from 12 to 15 July next year.

Gordana Plamenec, chief executive of Serbia"s national tourist board, pointed out that the country offers live entertainment for people with various musical tastes.

"We are very famous for over a thousand events including music events [and] festivals, headed by Exit of course," she said.

"Then [there is] the Guca Trumpet Festival and Nisville Jazz Festival."
