Travellers Urged To See More Of Japan
Travellers urged to see more of Japan by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers considering a trip to Japan have been encouraged to be adventurous and see as much of the country as possible.
Kylie Clark, head of PR and marketing at the Japan National Tourism Organisation, said the majority of first-time visitors from the UK are most likely to see Tokyo, Kyoto, Mount Fuji and possibly Hiroshima.
Ms Clark claimed that travellers who venture to some of the less famous locations will be rewarded with an insight into the cultural richness and variety of the Asian nation.
"Japan is so incredibly diverse, because it is [made up of] islands and there is so much history, geography et cetera," she said.
"We do want people to start travelling more widely within Japan."
The country will be opened up to travellers next year with the launch of a number of low-cost carriers, which will offer flights to destinations such as Okinawa in the south and Hokkaido in the north.
In the past, Okinawa has only been served by major carriers like ANA and Delta.
