Cathay Pacific unveils economy improvements by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Cathay Pacific has announced some new offerings and innovations for its passengers, including a premium economy class that will be available for long-haul flights from April 2012.

Travellers will see benefits including increased leg room and space to recline, a more spacious cabin than in economy, a large meal table and a 10.6-inch personal television.

On the ground, premium economy customers will be offered priority check-in at dedicated counters, priority boarding and a more generous baggage allowance.

As well as announcing the new class, Cathay Pacific confirmed plans to progressively introduce an upgraded economy seat on most of its long-haul aircraft from March 2012.

The seat is designed to provide more space and comfort, along with access to touchscreen personal televisions and mobile connectivity.

John Slosar, Cathay Pacific"s chief executive officer, said the airline is "really excited" about its latest innovations.

He added: "As always, the comfort of our customers was front and centre of our design process and we believe the results represent a very significant upgrade in the product we offer."
