Grand Hyatt New York completes $130m renovation by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The multi-phase project at the Grand Hyatt New York, which is located opposite Grand Central Station in Manhattan, concluded with the installation of acclaimed artist Jaume Plensa"s three-dimensional sculptures Awilda and Chloe.

More than 1,300 guestrooms were redesigned during the overhaul, as were the mezzanine, lobby, ballrooms and various events and meeting spaces.

Guests can also sample the culinary offerings at the New York Central restaurant and Market, which is described as a "grab-and-go" food outlet.

General manager Mark Pardue said the "total revitalisation" of the hotel reaffirms its position as "one of the most desirable venues in Manhattan".

He added: "We are thrilled to reintroduce this landmark property to New York and the rest of the world with our dramatic new look."

Nearby attractions include Times Square, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History.
