Bristol Airport Targets More Flights To Germany And Scandinavia
Bristol airport targets more flights to Germany and Scandinavia by Cheap Flights Booker UK
One of Bristol airport"s main targets for 2012 is to provide more flights to Germany and Scandinavia, a region that includes Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
The base announced its aim for the coming year as it published figures showing that passenger numbers climbed by 0.8% in 2011 to reach 5.7m.
Several factors contributed to the growth last year, including the launch of three daily flights to Dublin by Aer Lingus and KLM"s introduction of a fourth daily service to Amsterdam.
Shaun Browne, aviation director at Bristol airport, said trends such as recovery in the business travel market and "great value" offerings from airlines and tour operators are set to continue in 2012, paving the way for a third successive year of rising passenger numbers.
He added: "Our key targets remain securing services to Germany and Scandinavia, and we will continue making the business case for these vital links in our discussions with existing and potential airline partners."
Carriers currently based at the airport include Flybe, Air France and Eastern Airways.
