Sporting events coming to Pays de la Loire by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers visiting the Pays de la Loire region of France this year will have the opportunity to attend a range of sporting events.

The Le Mans 24-hour race, one of the world"s most prestigious endurance contests for sports cars, began in 1923 and will return from 10 to 17 June 2012.

More than 200,000 people regularly visit Pays de la Loire to enjoy a full week of events and activities coinciding with the race.

Also returning this year is the Le Mans Classic, a celebration of the proud history of the 24-hour challenge, which is scheduled for 6 and 7 July.

Visitors will be treated to the sight of what the local tourist board describes as "some of the world"s most beautiful vintage cars" driving around the circuit at Le Mans.

Nantes, the capital of the Pays de la Loire region, will this year host special events including the reopening of the Gallery of Machines (12 February) and the Voyage a Nantes cultural initiative (15 June-2 September).
