Turkish Airlines to launch more Manchester to Istanbul flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers based in northern England will soon have more access to Turkey, with one of the country"s leading carriers set to introduce new flights to Istanbul from Manchester.
Turkish Airlines has announced that it will boost frequency on the route during the 2012 summer season to meet demand.
Nine weekly services to Istanbul will be available from 25 March, increasing to ten connections per week from 28 May.
The additional flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
Andrew Harrison, chief operating officer of Manchester Airports Group, noted that the partnership between the base and Turkish Airlines has been in place for 19 years, during which time the carrier has become a leader in European aviation.
"It"s great to see an airline making bigger commitments to the airport and the north-west region, which proves the demand is there," he added.
Turkish Airlines has boosted its profile in northern England and around the world through a sponsorship deal with Manchester United Football Club.
