Wooden rollercoaster set to open at Europa-Park by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Germany"s Europa-Park will boost its visitor offering this year with the introduction of a wooden rollercoaster called WODAN - Timburcoaster.

Due to open at the beginning of the 2012 season on 31 March, the 1,000-metre-long, 40-metre-high ride represents part of the biggest investment in the park"s history and is reportedly the most technologically advanced attraction of its kind in the world.

Its name was the result of an online campaign that invited members of the public to suggest a title for the new feature.

Europa-Park has also announced that it ended its 37th season with "excellent results", with more than 4m people visiting in 2011.

Among the highlights of the year was the launch of the first 4D film to be produced at the destination, The Secret of Balthasar Castle, which was seen by more than 150,000 people in its first few weeks.

During the 2012 season, the park will open Bell Rock, its fifth themed hotel.
