Bahamas aims to highlight diversity of experiences by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The Bahamas" tourism ministry is preparing to launch a new promotional campaign with the aim of showing that the destination is about more than sun, sea and sand.

In a bid to give the initiative a unique twist, the authority has launched a competition giving ordinary consumers the opportunity to star in an advert for the Caribbean island nation.

Entrants have until 15 March to send in a photo or video of their favourite holiday experience via the Bahamas" Facebook page, with winners being selected in four categories - family vacation, romantic escape, guys" adventure and girls" getaway.

Based on consumer feedback and interviews by a judging panel, winners will be selected in each category and taken on a trip to the destination to enjoy its activities, sights and luxury accommodation.

A documentary film crew and photography team will join the successful groups to create consumer adverts that will be broadcast late this summer.

The campaign will aim to highlight various aspects of the Bahamas" tourism industry, from culture and history to wildlife and natural ecosystems.
