Delta to offer more Heathrow to Atlanta flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Delta Air Lines will boost access to the southern United States from London Heathrow this year with the launch of more flights to Atlanta from the airport.

Two daily services to the American city will be available from Heathrow from 18 April 2012.

However, the increase in frequency will come at the expense of Delta"s route from Gatwick to Atlanta, which will be suspended this spring.

The second daily flight from Heathrow will be operated by Boeing 767-400 long-range aircraft with a business class cabin featuring 39 fully flat seats.

Perry Cantarutti, the airline"s senior vice president in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "A second daily flight from Heathrow means our customers travelling to or through Atlanta will have increased choice, with over 150 convenient connections to the US, Latin America and the Caribbean."

The change in Delta"s operations out of London will precede the opening of a new international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta.
