EasyJet celebrates 10 years at Gatwick by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet is this month marking the tenth anniversary of launching services from London Gatwick.

Since it introduced flights to Barcelona a decade ago, the carrier has become the biggest operator at Gatwick, with a fleet of 50 aircraft now offering about 300 journeys to and from the base every day.

The company has carried more than 70m passengers since launching from the airport and currently offers a choice of 94 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and north Africa.

Last year alone, easyJet expanded its network from Gatwick with the introduction of flights to Zagreb, Seville, Bologna, Verona, Aberdeen, Izmir, Fuerteventura, Catania, Bari and Amman.

Catherine Lynn, the airline"s customer and revenue director, said: "Our success is testament to easyJet"s commitment to listening to our passengers and adding routes to the destinations they tell us they want to fly to at the most convenient times."
