EasyJet to offer year-round Luton to Reykjavik flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet has confirmed that it will offer year-round flights to Reykjavik from Luton airport to cater for strong demand for the new route.

Set to launch on 27 March 2012, the service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays during the summer and will continue through the winter season, which will begin in October.

Travellers have shown plenty of interest in flights to Iceland"s capital city from Luton, with easyJet already having sold more than 8,000 seats.

Hugh Aitken, the airline"s UK commercial manager, claimed passengers have been responding to "affordable fares" at both ends of the route.

"Iceland is an inspiring destination and offers an all-year-round unique experience," he added.

EasyJet provides services to several popular cities and holiday hotspots from south-east England, with flights to Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Mallorca, Sharm el Sheikh, Istanbul and other destinations available from Luton.

The carrier also operates out of London Gatwick, Stansted and Southend, as well as Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and other UK airports.
