Nova Scotia Preparing To Welcome Titanic Enthusiasts
Nova Scotia preparing to welcome Titanic enthusiasts by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The province of Nova Scotia in eastern Canada is preparing for an influx of visitors this year as the region marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.
Two commemorative events will be held to recognise the occasion - an evening procession and presentation on 14 April and an afternoon interfaith memorial service the following day.
Visitors will be able to see the procession running from the waterfront side of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to the Grand Parade, with acknowledgements of Titanic-related landmarks along the way.
Economic and rural development and tourism minister Percy Paris said: "This April, Nova Scotia will welcome people from around the world who are fascinated by the Titanic story.
"Our maritime heritage and culture make us uniquely able to mark this historic, solemn occasion."
Travellers catching flights to Halifax to visit Nova Scotia at any time of the year can check out local attractions such as the Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum, Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
