Tunisia Aims To Boost Appeal In UK
Tunisia aims to boost appeal in UK by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Tunisia will be targeting more visitors from the UK this year, the country"s tourist office has revealed.
Plans for 2012 were discussed by Wahida Jaiet, the new UK and Ireland director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office, who is taking over from Anissa Ramoundi.
Ms Jaiet said it is an "exciting time" to be involved with the north African nation"s travel industry, owing to the influence of the new government and the democracy taking shape.
She also highlighted the importance of British visitors to the country, with the UK market bouncing back quicker than any other following the civil unrest and political changes that occurred at the beginning of 2011.
"We will be working to extend our appeal here in the UK, highlighting Tunisia"s 3,000 years of history as well as our thalassotherapy centres," added Ms Jaiet.
The nation offers more than 700 miles of sandy beaches, as well as numerous historic sites, golf courses and other attractions.
