Abta: Music lovers to flock to European festivals this summer by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Abta, the travel industry association, has predicted that music fans from the UK will show more interest in music festivals in Europe this summer.

Factors such as the big-name lineups at events on the continent, low prices and the fact that Glastonbury is taking a year off are set to contribute to festival bookings outperforming the overall summer holiday market, according to Abta.

Eastern Europe could prove particularly popular with music fans, with Exit in Novi Sad, Serbia, set to feature appearances by the likes of New Order, Guns N" Roses and Wolfmother from 12 to 15 July.

B"ESTFEST in the Romanian capital of Bucharest will host performances by acts including Pulp and Garbage from 6 to 8 July, while Placebo and the Stone Roses will play at Sziget in Budapest, Hungary, from 8 to 12 August.

Abta also highlighted festivals such as INmusic in Zagreb (29-30 June), Roskilde in Denmark (30 June-8 July) and Benicassim near Valencia in Spain (12-15 July).
