American Airlines launching premium economy product by Cheap Flights Booker UK

American Airlines has announced plans to introduce a premium economy product entitled Main Cabin Extra, providing passenger benefits including additional leg room and priority boarding.

New Boeing 737-800 aircraft being delivered to the airline will feature the seats from this autumn, while anticipated future liners including Airbus A321s and Boeing 777-300ERs and 787s will also offer the service.

American will also retrofit all of its existing aircraft to give its customers the Main Cabin Extra option on flights all over the world.

The new seats will be located in the front portion of the main economy cabin and will be available for booking from spring 2012.

Virasb Vahidi, the airline"s chief commercial officer, said: "We continue to provide our customers with choices that enable them to customise their travel on American to be the experience they desire and value."

The airline has also confirmed that it will boost its network in the United States this year with the introduction of new non-stop flights to Los Angeles from Washington Reagan airport.
