Etihad increases premium baggage allowance by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Etihad Airways has announced a 10kg increase in baggage allowances for its premium passengers.

Customers travelling in the Pearl Business cabin now have an allowance of 40kg, while those flying in Diamond First can check in bags weighing up to 50kg.

Members of the airline"s frequent flyer programme travelling in premium classes will also see the benefit of relaxed weight restrictions, with an Etihad Guest Gold member, for example, now able to take up to 65kg of baggage if they make a Diamond First booking.

Chief commercial officer Peter Baumgartner said Etihad was "delighted" to be able to reward its premium customers with these changes.

"At Etihad Airways, we are always looking to make the experience of flying as simple, convenient and rewarding as possible," he added.

"We believe this increased allowance will prove very popular with our guests."

The carrier operates regular flights to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow and Manchester airports and also provides connections to long-haul destinations such as Sydney, Tokyo and Johannesburg.
